Shipping policy

Every letter from The Moonlit Letters is prepared by hand and mailed from our facility in eastern Pennsylvania. Our careful packaging and timing of your deliveries ensures you have an enjoyable experience.

Letter Collections:

First Letter Shipping

Your first letter mails within 3 business days of your order via USPS regular mail. Delivery may take up to 2 weeks for US addresses. International orders may take up to 6 weeks.

Ongoing Letter Schedule

After the first letter, remaining letters are mailed via USPS regular mail every other Friday of each month. Delivery may take up to 2 weeks for US addresses. International orders may take up to 6 weeks.

All subscriptions begin with Letter #1, regardless of when you place your order. It ensures you experience the story in the intended sequence.

Shipping Fees & Availability

Shipping charges apply to all orders. Your exact shipping rate will be calculated and displayed at checkout before you complete your purchase.

International shipping may incur an additional fee at checkout, depending on your location. We mail to any country on the USPS current index of countries and localities found here.

Address Changes

Snail mail can be a lot of fun, but it’s not perfect, which means an occasional resend may be required. We take great care to make sure every letter reaches you, but we rely on accurate and timely information from you to keep things running smoothly.

To help ensure successful deliveries, we count on our subscribers to:

  • Provide an accurate and deliverable mailing address at checkout.
  • Notify us of any address changes at least 10 days before a scheduled mailing date.

If you move, please contact us with your new address.

Note: Updating your information with USPS will not forward The Moonlit Letters to your new address.

Even if you update your address in your account profile, please contact us directly, so we can update our internal records.

Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Letters

If a letter goes missing due to a delay in notifying us of an address change, we’re happy to resend one letter at no charge.

For prepaid customers, additional replacement letters may be sent for $5 per letter (US) or $7 per letter (international).

For monthly customers, you will continue to be billed until 12 payments have been completed. If additional letters are needed beyond those 12 payments, they may be resent for $5 per letter (US) or $7 per letter (international).

If a letter is lost, damaged, or discarded due to customer error, resends are available at the standard replacement rate: $5 per letter (U.S.) or $7 per letter (international).

If a letter is incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable due to an internal error on our part, we will gladly resend it at no cost to you.

Mail Clubs:

First Issue Shipping

Your first mail-club issue is sent out as soon as possible via USPS regular mail.

If you sign up on or before the 20th of the month (the cut-off date) you will receive the current issue.

If you sign up AFTER the 20th, you will be sent the next issue when it’s released (during the first full week of the following month). Example: Sign up on January 21st, and your first issue is mailed out during the first full week of February.

Delivery may take up to 2 weeks for US addresses. International orders may take up to 6 weeks.

Ongoing Issue Schedule

As long as your subscription remains active, we will mail out your next issue during the first week of the month. All issues are mailed via USPS regular mail. Delivery may take up to 2 weeks for US addresses. International orders may take up to 6 weeks.
